- The smell of ham. And sausage. And bacon… mmmmmm, bacon.
- The feel of the sun kissing my face on a gorgeous spring day.
- My to-do list with the tasks crossed off.
- Catching a glimpse of myself in the mirror when I’m looking particularly fabulous.
- Spending the whole day chatting with my besties. :)
What are some of your favorite things?
Once again it’s Election time in Canada. One can only hope that we will FINALLY rid ourselves of the evil dictator who has been calling himself the Prime Minister for the past 5 years.
I struggled with something this election cycle. Should I vote honestly, or should I vote strategically? What I want to avoid at all costs is a Conservative majority. I think I would shrivel up and die if Harper got a majority. Even if you ignore his ass-backwards policy positions, the man has NO respect for the democratic process. He prorogued Parliament. Twice. His government was found in contempt of Parliament. Harper is a bad, bad man.
So my choices are either 1) vote Liberal since they are the largest opposition party and have the best chance of getting into power and encourage everyone I know to do the same or 2) vote for the party most in line with my views and encourage everyone to vote for anyone but the Conservatives.
Looking at the polls, it seems VERY unlikely that the Liberals will manage to get a minority government. That’s what happens when the opposition is split folks. Option 2 is looking pretty good right now.

One of my friends is brilliant and has been invited to Tampa, Florida for a conference. So of course I am going! Even though I know nothing about sustainable engineering, I will never pass up an opportunity to go home to the Sunshine State.
Now I just have to make all my friends from West Palm get within driving distance of Tampa… Stay tuned to find out how I do it!
Each and every follower encourages me to keep posting. Already this blog is more active than other blogs I’ve had for years! Thanks so much! You guys rock!
The Lord’s right hand is lifted high; the Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!”
I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done.” —Psalm 118:15 - 17, NIV
My dad because I know for sure he would come. It also helps he that he would not waste my one phone call yelling at me for being so stupid, lol.
Hmmm. That would require that I listen to music wouldn’t it?
*tries to find her playlists*
Found them! www.playlist.com is great site that I used to use. One song that keeps coming up again and again in my life is Celine Dion’s A New Day Has Come. If my life were a movie, that song would probably play at the end when I (played by Kerry Washington) watch the sunrise from my NYC apartment balcony while sipping a cup of tea. Yeah. My life story is totally Oscar worthy :P
I’m afraid of heights so naturally the most daring activities for me would involve conquering that in some way. I have already been in a helicopter (twice!) but I would also like to:
- climb something tall (like a mountain… not a building lol)
- sky dive and/or bungee jump
- ride a hot air balloon
There are other daring/crazy things that I would like to do but I’d like to keep this blog family friendly ;)
